Grand Mercure Imperial Palace Seoul Gangnam

We stayed in a hotel in Gangnam district during our backpacking trip in South Korea. The location was ideal, with the nearest subway station just a short walk away. We loved exploring the nearby exhibition center and City Hall, which were easily accessible from the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean, with fresh towels provided daily. The service was generally good, with the staff trying their best to assist us. Although the breakfast buffet was average, we enjoyed the ambience and elegant decorations of the hotel. The gym facilities were excellent, and the room service was prompt and efficient.

We did notice a strong smell of smoke in the bathroom, despite being in a non-smoking room.

The hotel offered a great location, with easy access to attractions in the city. The room wasvery comfy and tidy, providing a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel was quite expensive, with additional charges for amenities such as breakfast and gym access. The overall decor and furniture felt outdated and in need of repair.

The staff were polite and hospitable, and the breakfast suited my needs. The overall aesthetics of the hotel were amazing and the fitness area and sauna felt like a secret society from Hogwarts. The lobby was impressive and the staff were attentive and helpful, even translating destinations for us. I didn't try the restaurants, but the cafe in the lobby served great food.

From the moment we walked into the lobby, we were blown away by its grandeur. It was the perfect spot for people-watching and just relaxing. The staff were attentive and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The concierge even helped us by translating our destinations into the local language for taxi drivers. The hotel facilities, including the gym and room service, were excellent. We especially appreciated how quickly they fixed our air conditioning when we requested it. The room itself was spacious and well-maintained, thanks to the courteous housekeeping staff. The location of the hotel was also ideal, with easy access to the exhibition center, restaurants downstairs, and the nearest subway station.

Taxis were readily available and took us to these destinations without any hassle. The room was spacious and had a nice arrangement of furniture, allowing for a comfortable stay. The bathroom facilities were excellent, with a large bathtub and good water pressure in the shower. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, with friendly and helpful staff members. the breakfast offered a variety of options and was of high quality. the hotel provided a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

The availability of outlets in the room was limited, making it difficult to charge electronics or use the kettle.

The fitness area and sauna at Imperial Palace were excellent. As I entered the sauna change room, it was like I was stepping into a hidden world of magic. The aesthetics of the hotel were amazing, proving that age does not define beauty. being able to enjoy a pool at an affordable price in Seoul is a rarity. I would highly recommend this hotel for its unique amenities.

The suite's separated check in/out desk and lounge were fantastic. Friendly and polite staff. Gym was good. Late check-out available at 2pm. Excellent concierge staff were very good. Excellent gym. Superb room service. Air conditioning fixed promptly.

Amazing colonial atmosphere that transports you to another time. The lobby is perfect for people-watching and the staff are attentive and helpful. The food at the café in the lobby is delicious. I had an excellent experience at the sauna and pool; a must-try! I highly recommend staying at this iconic hotel with its old-world charm.
